You're right. I started my gardening 8 years ago with about 20m2. It was a micro garden. Then I expanded and it became so time consuming that in the last two years I scaled down to almost original size. On top of that I didn't even eat all the stuff that grew. It was way too much for two people. Of course you can process surplus food for the winter but that takes time, space and energy too.
Right now I plant only my favorite veggies and in a managable amount. It takes some time to realize that enough is enough (in a good buddhist way).
