You are trying to do "reductio ad absurdum," but it won't work. No, I don't want a world of 32B vegans, I also don't want a world of 8B vegans, but I would certainly like to see that most people people eat a lot less meat, shop less, consume less useless shit, and so on. Eating meat once per week is more than enough to satisfy your taste buds. We don't need all of the people being vegan all of the time, but we do need most of the people eating vegan most of the time. That is a reasonable solution, imho.
