We Need to Stop Glamorising Alcohol
There is nothing glamorous about it.
Every now and then a high-profile celebrity like Ralf Schumacher would visit Goriška Brda, a wine region of Slovenia, to collect grapes, pose for photos and buy fancy wine. Local CEO’s, politicians and media gather around him, they lift glasses above their face, spin the liquids inside and smell them like they know what they’re doing. They nod each other approvingly and exchange comments of literary value. Oh, the bouquet (but perhaps only the bucket).

It is hard to imagine glamour without a bottle of expensive wine. Images of a remote Tuscan landscape quickly spring to mind. Perhaps some cheese, olives and some dried red meat to go along. Ah, the good life!
Or maybe you’re an urban-type who likes to visit Hollywood or Hollywood-wanna-be parties? An urban villa with palm trees and a swimming pool, a DJ spinning the latest songs, important members of society, their beloved artists, and stunning girls in…
