Save the Seeds, She Said. Build an Arc!

Perhaps it was all just a dream.

I’ve had a curious dream last night:

There was a conference going on. On this conference people from New Zealand will explain how they dealt with Covid-19 so that other countries could implement their strategy too. But there were also other speakers talking and other problems being discussed as well.

The speakers were all gathered in a circle, their backs facing towards the centre and I happened to slowly move around them (like in a roundabout). I remember recognising one of them. It was Jane Goodall.

“Given your immense experience,” I humbly began, “what do you think we should do right now? The process of global warming seems to be out of control, there is no serious work being done to stop it, and those of us who care seem to be in such a small number. Not to mention that time is limited too. Where should we put our efforts into then? Collect the seeds, perhaps?”

“Collect the seeds,” she said noddingly. “You’re absolutely right. There is no time left. Prepare everything we’ll need for a reboot.”
