Perhaps you're right. For many years I thought; OK, I have (some) land, I'll be fine. But the last summer delivered another lesson; no matter how much land you have, if the weather goes crazy, it is all in vain. The drought we had rendered it all useless. And that was a huge hit to me and my "gardening" ego. It made me realise how small and insignificant we actually are against the problem we're facing.
