Most people support "causes" and "heroes" for as long as its hashtag on social media lasts. That is the level and the time scope of their effort. After that, they find something else. #stayathome lasted about three to four weeks in spring of 2020; after that, they wanted back their #freedom. Genuine support is measured in sacrifice, not social gains or virtue signaling. Very few pass that bar.
