I've been a home gardener for almost ten years now and it is getting harder and harder to grow anything here in my region (south-western Slovenia, EU). This year's drought has destroyed more than just crops, my willingness to continue gardening is drying out too. Every spring I start full of hope for my seedlings and once June turns into July, I spend more and more hours just watering plants with barely anything to harvest. It used to be the opposite; little work, lots to harvest. Now it is simply not fun anymore.
