Right now I’m inquiring about turning vineyards into fields for peanuts. The climate requirements should be comparable, the problem is that peanuts need much softer soil than vines. I decided to buy some seeds and try it myself this year. Peanuts are an amazing source of fat and protein and supplement cereals amazingly.
The easier conversion of vineyards is into orchards. A few farmers did it here in Slovenia and they don’t regret it. The profit from apples and apple juice is just as good.
