Good one! If I may ad an extra gem; for many Europeans American accent means "stupid" and British "intelligent" (or sophisticated). It is so deeply ingrained into our culture that I wasn't even consciously aware of it, but when I first traveled to the States, everyone I've met seemed kinda on the slow side. On contrary; in London I couldn't stop wonder how incredibly smart everyone is. :D

Of course both is bullshit, but our perception can play tricks on us.
