Firstly; I think the science is pretty clear on this issue and it would be a huge surprise if it turns out otherwise. In fact, the observed processes are actually realising faster than predictions from 20+ years ago.

And secondly, in a rethorical sense it is tooth for tooth. I can't attack their narrative using a mushy one myself. Sometimes I have to exaggerate in order to make a (counter)point.
