Exactly! That clip made me think a lot for the very same reasons which are typical for the covid-19 discussion in general. The problem with people like Rhonda Patrick (and often many of us) when they/we debate an average Joe, is that we don't want to go below a certain level of decent communication and decency. We want to respect the borders of our knowledge and dignity. It is a very noble thing to say "I don't know."
Of course, as they say, idiots will drag us down to their level and win on experience. That is sadly true in many cases.
The mistake that we make is that we don't call out bullshit and stupidity when we hear it. Some opinions don't deserve anything other than contempt. Again; many of us wouldn't do it because we sill believe in a decent conversation, we believe those questions are asked with honesty and want to give them a fair answer. But such questions are not asked with honesty and don't deserve to be treated as such. They are a mere provocation to establish their point. They were not meant to be answered in the first place.
