Believe it or not, this post got me! I went on Amazon, ordered your book and read it! For the most part, I totally agree with your thinking. Your critique hits the bull's eye, imho. However, when it comes to finding solutions and implementing them, I think there is much to be debated. I agree with the airplane analogy and the fact that politicians should be replaced by trained "admins", but we run into a problem of: who will train them and how? Who will examine them and how? We will have to establish a new profession and that is somewhat of a problem. In case of airplanes; pionering pilotes didn't know much but it was fine, because first aircrafts were also very simple and didn't have any passengers. My point is; pilots were allowed to grow with their respected field of work. At no point they were presented with a fully developed Airbus, which is a situation we now face. Our society is at its most complex point while simpletons are sitting at the cockpit. Who even has knowledge to train capable pilots? Who can examine their skill?
