Beautifully written. I wholeheartedly agree with the article, especially the ending. But personally, I still do feel some attachment to the "transaction of beauty." I think that too is augmented by authenticity. A synth can never sound like a real violin played by a real person, especially if you are aware of it. That will not change anytime soon.

But the thing is, that not everyone is interested in authenticity. A huge business is built around a mere "wow" and that business is being disrupted now.
